It's the same with me! I don't know if you've figured yours out yet, but i'm totally stuck!It would seem that maybe you do choose whether you want big text or small text, but the item file also goes in the hide/item files, so im confused!
If I figure it out i'll re-post!
please if anyone has any iinfo

guys, i read all the posts in this thread, or another similar sites, i even remember perfectly the steps of everything (srubbing, patching, partition building, etc.)
even though i haven't done any of those.
why, because everytime i load the ISO in WiiScrubber (i used v1.4) it says the two partitions are in (BAD) state, and i cant open or expand any of these to view the files.
i'm so confused because the ISO runs very smoothly on Dolphin, playable flawlessly.
i read every posts in this thread from page one until the last page, someone mentioned this, but no one seems to mention the solution or at least the problem source about this.
(or maybe i missed that post, i'm so sorry if i did)
so, is there any one can tell me how to make the ISO readable in WiiScrubber? or at least tell me the source of my problem? don't worry about the patching, i can do it, as long as the ISO problem in WiiScrubber solved.
thnk u very much in advance.
Update : finally, i managed to fix it, i deleted the key.bin and kkey.bin, i was set the value to whatever number that came to my mind, after i deleted it, i created another new key and kkey.bin, with 42 as the value, and now the WiiScrubber finally able to read the ISO.
i don't know if this is a simple problem or not, but it seems that many user got the same problem, and soooo hard to find this "simple" solution on the net, i hope this help to anybody who got the same problem.
Update : i finished patching it up, and played the game until the beginning of chapter 2. it works like a charm, flawlessly smooth, and the most important is the ENGLISH PATCH, IT WORKED !!!
thank u soooo much for the patch..
and for the Dolphin settings, i just left it untouched, except the Wiimote and Nunchuck config for keyboard and mouse, the mouse aiming for the flashlight and camera worked perfect.
as for the other settings like graphic, sound, etc..maybe later..

I did what the user above said and then the partition 0 appeared. I extracted all the partition and just appeared a folder named "_sys" and 2 "update" files and not the folders of the game >: May someone give me help?
Ah, and i can run it on dolphin normally, but the the wiiscrubber says partition 1 (data) is bad and there's no partition 2.

actually, dont bother with the partition number, sumtimes in certain version of WiiScrubber showing partition 1 and 2, but other versions showing partition 0 and 1, it's just the same.
and for the BAD partition problem, try to delete the key.bin and the kkey.bin in the WiiScrubber directory, then make another new ones, but this time, use number 42 as the value number. i hope it helps.

Hey guys, got a problem here.
When I try to load the game after doing the english patch, I get a black screen when it loads (at the first screen that tells you to strap the wiimote on).
I've tried patching the game multiple times to make sure I'm doing it right. I've also tried different video settings (opengl, directx9, etc) and EFB copy to RAM/texture. Still can't get it to work.
The game runs fine without the patch as well.
So, anyone have any ideas?

1) play jap version if its work fine
2) you not right patch the game, try download already patched eng iso
3) try to change version of emu rev
4) buy real wii and play without problems

You need Wiiscrubber (1.4) + partitionbuilder (1.1).
Load ISO in wiiscrubber
Extracting key partition files:
1. Expand Partition:2 (DATA)
2. Right click + extract the following files:
-partition.bin
-boot.bin
-bi2.bin
-apploader.img
-main.dol
Save them all to a folder like "ff4sys" or something.
Data files: Right click Partition:2 (DATA) -> Unencrypted Partition -> Extract
Save to a folder like "ff4data" or whatever you want.
Patch files: Download + Extract the patch files. You need to copy these to the appropriate folders in the data files partition you extracted ("ff4data" in my example). These are the corresponding paths:
BigFontGhostList -> Hide\Item or SmallFontGhostlist -> Hide\Item
Chapters -> RSL
Credits -> RSL
Item -> Hide\Item
Menu -> Miya
Miya -> Miya
RSL -> RSL
Songs -> SND\STREAM
Rebuilding the partition:
1. Open partitionbuilder.exe (make sure you have version 1.1!!)
2. Load up the files it needs (extracted to "ff4sys" in my example).
3. Source file directory is the data partition you extracted to a folder ("ff4data" in my example).
4. Click build, remember the filename you saved it as.
5. Wait. When it finishes, exit partitionbuilder.
Back to Wiiscrubber:
1. Right click Partition:2 (DATA) -> Unencrypted Partition -> Load -> Open the partition img you built in partitionbuilder.
2. Wait. Once it finishes you can exit Wiiscrubber and you'll be all set.
Have fun.
woah ...... really nice method !
