Is it possible to do this? And how?

Take a look at Waninkoko's SaveGame Manager (http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/...me-manager) I'm not entirely sure if it works but from what I've read it does (If it wasn't 4am I'd try now)

This has to be used with HBC..

Well it extracts saves in to .data files and installs .data files into wii saves I believe but yes it is something you put on your wii for the homebrew channel (you would have your .data files on the sd card)
