I'm willing to bet his free trial for the Intel C++ compiler ran out, anyways I never used these builds since they never provided any increase in performance over other builds for me, I compile my own builds which were just as fast as these builds without using the Intel compiler.

right.
The location of where he compiles has nothing to do with that, has he specified anywhere that his company has the full version of the compiler? He could very well be at work all day and have no other choice but to compile during his free time there with the trial version. If he hasn't updated his builds in a while it could very well indicate that his free trial ended, in fact I thought I remember him stating somewhere that he was using the free trial to compile builds as a test to see if it had any effect on performance.
Although he kept updated this thread for over two months

That doesn't mean much either, you can usually get more then one trial key since all you have to do is fill a small form and have the key sent via email, he probably just got tired of doing that and decided to take a break.
Hmmm.....I am missing this too - it greatly helped my machine which was only running on an e4600 processor.....
What is this Intel compiler business? I notice "free trial" was used here....
Is it something I could download and try working on myself??
The newer mamario builds have the much better wiimote autoconnect stuff in them, but don't get the FPS that the intel builds gave me, as my machine is OC'ed to 3.06GHz but with only a 2mb cache, 250 FSB and HD4670 GFX, it's a bit slow on two player wii sports, specifically tennis.
If I can get ahold of a trial of this compiler, maybe I could help out a bit and spit out a build or two in intel flavor for the more recent revisions?

the burden of proof is on you to prove that he is using the trial version. once you extrapolate a theory to a certain extent you're more likely hitting a case of occam's razor.
