Hello spellforce, am sorry to report that your builds make Dolphin broken in many games when running in "single core" mode. Please look at this:

http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=2379&can=1&q=single%20core
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-7568.html

I experienced this black screen when DC off, please try by yourself to confirm. Some games worked but too many had this problem(listen in that threat).

As for speed, I just tested this intel SSE4.1 x64 vs standard x64(both same revisions r5160) on Metroid 1, Zelda:WW, SMG and others - same speed, at least under D3D. Not even 1fps more. But that doesn't matter. If builds break Dolphin in some way it may lead to invalid threats and bug reports as in my case. By no means am I complaining, I was very excited somebody did this. But for me at least it didn't benefit at all after some testing and only bring bugs. I would love to continue using your builds, if you can find out problem(if its even possible) I'll be glad. But till then I have to revert to other builds. There may be other random/hidden problems that we may not know about, thats my biggest grippe, DC off is not that big deal on its own.
That's why this thread is marked "for comparison purpose"

Use what you think works best for you

are you sure about sc mode ? you already compare with normal build? because I can open game with sc but not test much because of its slow.and most of my game are wii game don't have games you mention.

speed it's very depends on game but for mine it faster in most game I tested.atleast not slowdown.(tested with framelimit off/audio throttle off).though 5160 is not a good build because it revert 5160 code in 5161

Is this the multi-path release?

And thanks again
it's a multi-path .SSE3 from now on will be multi-path but maybe not good as CPU specific build
Ok thanks. In that case I'll wait for the specific SSE 4.2 builds. (Which is probably best for an i7 cpu). If you still release those of course.
Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky! Sticky!

This post HAVE to be a sticky!
The performance for most of us is very perceptible!
Thanks!

Hello spellforce, I didn't believed at first but as in those linked threats devs suggested, I did compared and tested today and yes, other builds like from mamario with exact same settings and same revision have not this black screen problem. Also, it don't concern only r5160, I had this several revisions back, I don't remember since when I used your builds probably since beginning when I came into Dolphin emulation which should be around +-r4771 or at least r5000+.

As for speed, I tried games where even I got slowdown on my rig, like for example in Metroid 1 and I got exactly same fps(around 11fps in beginning as camera zoom out station). But thats not my concern, I would like to use your builds anyway just for sake of intel compiler and knowing it use all extensions my cpu support to its fullest, but its not stable and I can reproduce black screen any time - its not random.
Also, am using mamario build only since today but I had with your build some random and very rare hangs that I didn't experienced whole today. Sometimes Dolphin crashed after some scene once then upon reload and replay would pass it and stay stable for rest of day. Mamario build seems stable from get-go but its still too early to confirm. If I got hang in your build screen stayed again black(no error exception) and thats why I suspect that could be related to intel compiler too.

In those threats I linked I stated details and games concerning it, anyone can try it who have those games, I would like to know other people results too. I can also post screens if you want - just let me know. That black screen happen in several GC as well as WII games. You don't need to wait or play them, it happen always already in beginning on game start.
can you test with 5186? I always change the compiler config and it may help.
