apply to all I think it not the best idea.developer set one to /O2 and other /Ox for a reason.another option also difference.why don't they change to fast code insted of size at first place?
do not rush try to set each project and see speed first.
Will you be releasing SSE42 builds for new versions as well?

yes ,but the often is depends on the improvements of the svn and the feeling about outdated.if the newer svn is someting about linux, osx, small clean code, wiki, etc maybe it no need to update.
Spellforce, if it compiles with the optimizations why not? I thought that would help speed? I am new to this. If you have a better optimization set let me know, they should be the same for both of us.
well , some optimizations make larger code.not only on disk but also in memory.intel i7 has L2 cache about 6-8MB while my machine has only 1MB.
unnecessary function/instruction will full your L2 cache easily with few speedup or sometime slowdown.that why they have an option about favor size of speed .
and that's why they have many options for you to set because it work best with one but maybe not with others.
I have a Q6600 so 4MB x 2 L2 Cache. Do you know which functions make the code larger but few speedups? I'm new to this. I did pick favor speed, maybe I should try favor size.
My Pentium E2180 has 512kB x2 L2 cache, and the SSE3 builds work flawlessly.
What settings did you use?
I got the intel compiler to work. I tried different optimization and I'm not getting any speed benefits so far.
How do i choose specific SSE instructions. I didn't see that option. I assume enter something like /QXSSE3 on the command line?
also what about SSSE3 anybody tried that. do i optimize all projects except for the dsp spy or select specific projects?
newbie to this so sorry for many questions
I did'nt say speed or size which one is best.I just say try individual setting for each project.some project need speed and maybe some project need small size.well I still on trial and error also I change setting almost everytime I'm compile

Spellforce, could you make one build for amd users?
