im running v11.1.054 on x64. i disable the interprocederal optimizations and i end up with:
========== Rebuild All: 19 succeeded, 10 failed, 1 skipped ==========
so then i remember you said to turn off the precompiled headers for the wx files. i end up with:
========== Rebuild All: 28 succeeded, 1 failed, 1 skipped ==========
turns out its the opengl plugin. heres the error:
Code:
1>Plugin_VideoOGL.exp : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl DoState(class PointerWrap &)" (?DoState@@YAXAEAVPointerWrap@@@Z)
1>..\..\..\Binary\x64\Plugins\Plugin_VideoOGL.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals
i dont use opengl so its not a huge issue, but now that its working.. what do i need to change to make it as optimized as possible for a quad core sse4.1 system?
thanks a ton.
*edit*
ok i just turned off precompiled headers for opengl and now its compiling too.
unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl DoState(class PointerWrap &)" (?DoState@@YAXAEAVPointerWrap@@@Z)
I have this once , I turn off interprocederal optimization (c/c++ ->optimization) from videocommon project and it compiled.
and anyway I don't have sse 4.1,4.2 machine to test so I really have no Idea about the tweak so I think you need to test each option if it fast enable it if slowdown don't use it.very simple.

Went from 5003 ss4.1 which is like 4 fps more then the basic compile then went to 5006 ss3 and its 2-3 more from the 5003 version. There is nothing comment wise to equate to those speeds. To add to it, take a peek at these two pics.

This is 1024x728 5006 56 fps with the antialiasing on 8x (new comment added psuedo anti aliasing but with a very slight fps drop because of supersampling). Also had firefox on, trillian, steam downloading a game (redownloading cs1.6), etc etc. XP 36 processes with some using CPU at the time of snapshot.

This is 640 x 480 5003 sse4.1 at 55 fps but without the pseudo anti aliasing and had gamebooster, cut off explorer.exe, turned off virus protections, firewalls, disabled almost everything. XP 22 processes.
Thanks again spellforce for the work.
you can't say that one build is faster than an other if you have different enviroments/settings for both of them.
Finally got it Spellforce

Disabled precompiled headers for opengl and wx. Disabled interprocederal optimizations on OpenGL and VideoCommon. Applied the ICC patch. I'm using v11.1.054 of ICC. I will try and upload some updated versions in the future here.
now it the time to make your own optimization path

I just wanted to comment on this. Thanks a lot for this amazing build. It boosted Resident Evil Remake's FPS straight to 30 in a lot of areas I was having troubles with, and I was able to record with Fraps as well without losing any major FPS, if at all. I'm still testing some areas where the FPS drastically dropped in the default Dolphin releases, but so far things are running almost perfectly.
Tested in r5003-x64 SSE42.
Just an example of the performance boost:
Area before final Tyrant battle (Only at the specific zone where you pick up the Fuse for the elevator, the rest of the area in that hall is around 25-30)
Old FPS: 15-20 (See Note above at which area)
New FPS: 29-30
Final Tyrant Battle
Old FPS: 16-17, sometimes lower.
New FPS: 30
Major performance boost.
Hey Spellforce, i just wanna say thanks for this great build! even a weak system like mine can play games at fullspeed now

This topic should be pinned btw. I don't understand why it isn't yet, considering it's possibly the best build for Intel users.
Hopefully the Dev Team can make use of this somehow too and apply this for everyone, and not just for Intel users.
@Spellforce, Keep up the great work you're doing here.
Meanwhile I've been doing further testing in Resident Evil Remake.
The Main Hall no longer lags, I get a full 30 FPS now there too. It's flawless now.

I was able to compile with the above settings and these optimizations applied to everything but DSPSpy.
