well, the balance board isn't supported.
and when changing builds, did you delete the wiimote-plugin ini? cuz you should.
But yeah, it's all still buggy for me, too. But with a bit of trouble, I can normally get multiple wiimotes to work now.
I remove the config when I update.
I'm using r4910 now and its still a problem. (At least the slowdown to 1 FPS doesn't happen with one wiimote now)
Here are the steps (i'll put this in a defect report)
1. start dolphin
2. go to wiimote dialog (already set to use real wiimotes for both 1 and 2).
It shows 2 wiimotes are connected without needing to sync (All four lights are lit on each of the wiimotes)
4. Press OK (One wiimote shows light #1 and the other shows light #2)
5. Start mario kart wii
6. wait for the wiimote screen to show
7. The lights on the #2 wiimote go black (pressing A does nothing - no flashing)
8. Press Alt-F5 and F6
9. The wiimote reconnect dialog box comes up and I press ok
I can use only the 1st wiimote. The other one will not respond. I can resync it if I pause the game but it goes black once I enter the game again.
This behavior happens in all my games except Animal Crossing where no real wiimotes seem to work.
hm, I can get 2 wiimotes to work, but the in-dolphin pairing mostly fails, so I use the windows BT thingy again. And how I said already, until the second wiimote gets connected, the first one has this pretty bad lag.
You should try with another game, because I think Mario Kart Wii is somehow different (maybe because it also takes GC controller? *shrug*)
Ah, I renamed the two real wiimotes in the windows BT window...maybe that helps dolphin keep them separated, who knows *shrug*
I played with up to 4 real wiimotes on Dolphin with friends, it works (at least for Mario Party games and New Super Mario Bros).
Remember you first have to get Windows to recognise the device (Nintendo_RVL_C1 or something) in Bluetooth devices.. For each new Wiimote. Then after you start game, only connect one Wiimote.
In-game or menu, when it says 'connect Wiimotes' (such as character selection in NSMB), now go to options and enable Wiimotes up to the number you want, and they will appear in the game normally.
It is very playable, but even better if you have a self-made sensor bar. Movements will be slightly more accurate.
I'm using candles, they're just perfect XD
Hm...you don't have this lagging of your first wiimote up until the second one gets connected ingame?...strange indeed...
Nope, no lag at all. All wiimotes were supplied with fully charged AA batteries before playing though, just a minor issue, but the wiimotes become a bit inaccurate if batteries are running low.
And is the candle thing a joke or real? Do they double as IR sensors

Just modify ur wireless sensor bar to work over usb, then u dont need any stupid batteries anymore.. i did so, the mod only takes a couple of minutes, you need a wireless sensorbar tho and an old USB cable. The wireless sensorbar is using 4x1.2/1.5V batteries, so 5V via USB is just fine, and wont do any harm, no resistors needed. Just cut one of the endings from the usb cable off, and connect the red wire from the inside of the usb cable with one side of the metal frame of the battery holder and the black wire with the other side, voila. It's sufficient if u just wrap it around the metal connector, you don't need to solder it. took me at max 10 minutes inclusive cutting the hole into the plastic of the sensorbar with a small knife.

ps everybody has a spare spare usb cable^^ i had like thousands of em by myself lying around.... like from old cell phones or mp3 players or whatever, and some from i cant even really remember where i got them from.
heh, thanks for the advice. That would even be cheaper than the candles

I'm just no good with electric handywork, so I'm not sure if your tutorial (though well described) will be enough for me to do it right *g* but I'm sure the www will provide some picture series or video to stuff like this ^^

That's an Acer Gemstone, isn't it?
I was about to buy one a while ago, but won a crappy laptop online, lost my excuse to do so
If it's 4.8 (4x1.2) and you supply 5V won't it burn the leds after some time?
Also, how many frames do you get from that lappie on SMG?
