Ok, Im running with a core 2 duo 2.6GHz, 4gig of DDR2 ram, 32-bit OS Vista, Geforce 8600M GT nvidia card. Im a bit confused about the different builds of dolphin, since I just started trying to play this on my computer, the window is titled "Dolphin SVN R 4771".

Ive read through the beginners thread (Here), followed everything, the "Dev build" links are dead (except the Linux one, which Im not using)

C++ Visual is already installed, video card updated. Following the "How to Speed Up Games" thread (Here) I use the DolphinIL.exe, have dual core, frameskipping, and idle skipping enabled, with disabled sound. I dont know what OGL is. (Ive also tried with them all off, some on, some off, every combination...)

In short, my computer meets the requirements, but Im doing something wrong. Problem being, when I start the game (Smash Bros. Brawl [Ive tried the optimal settings in the Smash Bros. Brawl thread]), it works nearly perfect 50-60 FPS for the first minute or two. Getting through the menus, start a fight, fighting for a bit... About 30 seconds into a fight, my FPS drops drastically reaching down to less then 5FPS.

*shrug* Im new, I figure theres a settings that Im doing wrong... Or something. Possibly the wrong SVN, Ive tried a few, but I dont know whats the "best" one out there to use. Ima noob at this. Would love some help.
Try using normal Dolphin, not IL one. Also you should consider posting settings you use

Ive tried using the normal one, and the IL one, and I did post the settings I used... Which was basically, every combination of settings I could try... Ive spent about 6 hours screwing around with Dolphin trying to make it work. Ive tried it with everything on, everything off, and every combination in between.
Mm...Or try an older or new REV.
Or. Try using Direct3D9 plugin.

REV? Not entirely sure if I know what that is... If that means a different version of Dolphin, I think I have tried that... But in all honesty, I really dont know what ones are "good" ones or which ones are supposed to work. Is there a commonly used one that I could get a link to? Like maybe the one that everyone takes screen shots of their settings for games?... My settings window looks slightly different then those...

I tried the Direct3D9 plugin... It does seem to help, a lot. Though now instead of lagging about 2 minutes in, its just a steady 10-20 FPS. Constant lag... Im ganna tweak with all the settings while having Direct3D9 up, but Id love a link towards a "good" dolphin build to use... Or anything else that could help.
For those who thought TLDR...

Can anyone out there give me a link to a emulator build that works? Im new, and the beginners guide suggestion link doesnt work. So Im sortta stuck. My game still lags constantly, and I cant seem to fix it.
Im still having the same problem as before... Ive tried it with a few games now.... The game will run smoothly for a minute to two minutes... Then my FPS will drop drastically to like 2 FPS... Nobody out there has had this problem, or knows how to fix it?

Sounds to me you pc starts swapping.....
How much free space do you have ?, and overclock the cpu.

I have a E6300 1.86Ghz wich is clocked @ 3.03Ghz

Also i now have changed from XP 32Bit to XP 64Bit, wich is a HUGE improvement.
Check this thread: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-6318.html
its updated whenever there is a new revision of the emulator (rev)

Try one of the builds there and see if it works better.
somehow the emu got this slowdown between 4817 -4823

USE r4817 it will run fine (specially smash bros melee)
