When i try mapping a control, (As shown in the GIF on the attachment) it just resets to the default one very quickly. Im using Dolphin makepkg 5.0-18498 on Arch Linux x86_64 with KDE Plasma 5.27.4.
this does not happen in the flatpak version though.
Can you share the makepkg.conf file you used to build this?
Also, this sounds similar to a bug fixed by 5.0-18295. What version of Qt are you running?

sorry for super late reply, i dont have dolphin installed right now as i reinstalled my arch system but maybe it was qt 5 and something which was built in to kde and here is the makepkg
