i dont call upscaling or native 1080p decent 1080p thank you
cause both can look like shit. also, a few off those games ive seen on the cover that they only go to 720p so wat
1080p can look like shit but it's still 1080p and the ones you said on their cover say only 720p can get upscaled to 1080p but to do that you need to deselect 720p and 1080i from the Display setup XMB screen
why not upscale 578i to 1080p!
while youre at it...
or 1080p to 480p! WHY YES! LETS DO THAT!
...i dont think you get my point at this.

Tru dat

I'm sick and fucking tired of going to the store, looking at the wii games and seeing 1 copy of brawl 1 copy of SMG, 1 copy of TP a few other good games and like 30 copies of 5 different games like "Holy shit you're fat! buy this game and work out!"
If i understood you correctly you where saying that there where no PS3 games above 720p and what i am saying is that there are they may be some that look bad at 1080p but that doesn't mean that they don't have it at all

you got me there
however, just accept it that Ps3 is failing hard about the whole HD shit.
if i want HD i want fucking full HD (hence why my new screen is a full HD lcd eventho it cost me 60€ more XD )
I never said the PS3 had perfect HD i just said that it had HD but yes i do agree that some of it's titles really look bad even in HD but i would not go as far as saying that it's a failure
I have roughly 150 HD movies (1080p) and about double that in high-definition movies (720p). Watching any further than 2 meters away, I don't see the difference between the two, using a 47" plasma hooked to the computer via HDMI cable. I don't wear glasses or have poor eyevision. IMO it seems like a pointless comparison.
If playing games/viewing films close up, such as 1 meter away from the screen, you can spot quality differences between the two though, definitely. With a proper filter, 1080p imagery is almost life-like. In the future it will get even better with higher resolutions such as 2160p, up to 4320p (ultra-high definition which is being tested in Japan)
The difference is probably be harder to notice with movies, since they got no aliasing problems. Even 480p movies always looked pretty fine. Chances are also those 720p and 1080p movies are encoded near the same bitrate anyway

and some of them might be upscaled before burning on the BR disc. wouldn't be surprised if some did
EDIT: also, i doubt most humans can see the difference between 720p recorded video and a 1080p recorded video. but if ppl wanna play with the marketing idea then WHY NOT MAKE EVERYTHING 1080p!?!?
