be gentle with me as im not really good with informatic/computer stuff

Tonight I was trying to install Dolphin 5.0-17995 (Android)
on our Sony BRAVIA 4K VH21 TV

Core : 4x ARM Cortex-A73 @ 1800 Mhz
RAM : 3 Go
Total Memory : 2910 Mo
Memory available : 971 Mo
Internal storage space available : 317 Mo

Im wondering if its possible to install the program on my device and use the app and use it with a PS5 controller ?

I managed to download the 5.0-17995 Android version from the website
...but the app refuse to install whatever im trying Sad
I use the APK installer by uptodown downloaded from Google Play store

Please help me
it is possible to install the emulator on my device ?
No, if it refuses to install Dolphin, there's nothing you can do. Most likely it's because it doesn't support 64-bit apps.

The only Android TV device that's known to be able to run Dolphin is the Nvidia Shield TV (the box form factor versions, not the 2019 dongle-shaped one).

Hi JosJuice, (Happy new year!)

I will try something : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-mod-our-sony-bravia-from-32-to-64-bit.4536335/
You're definitely underestimating the amount of work required to pull something like this off. Also, while the CPU seems okay-ish, the GPU used in those Smart TV SoCs are underpowered for Dolphin, I don't think you would get playable speeds with anything other than lightweight games...

Hi mbc07,

Ok....
I found it incredible to not have the hardware (aside the GC console) on the market that can read/play GC games now in 2023....

Its not dolphin team fault
its all the manufacturer that i guess are doing this on purpose....

Sad.

The hardware is there, just not in TVs. If you buy a PC or a high-end phone, Dolphin will usually run great.

I stopped investing in PC or phone (i have N-E-V-E-R spend a single cent on one...NEVER bought/owned even a used one)

I put $499.99 on one on release day and never updated the firmware

When the full jailbreak will appear all my problems will be resolved

LINUX
RETROARCH
WEB BROWSER with wireless keyboard

The ULTIMATE (everything) in one plastic bloc

No. If you're incredibly lucky, Dolphin will run but it will be very slow, and that's the absolute best-case outcome. TVs simply don't have the hardware for running this kind of intensive application.

I forgot to add jailbreak on the PS5 console...
Oh, a PS5? Yeah, that has the hardware needed for running Dolphin. Remains to be seen if there ever will be a jailbreak and the required software, though.
