Full Version: Textures being dumped as grayscale textures even though they have color

I'm trying to dump textures from Trauma Center: New Blood, but they come out as grayscale even though they have color in game.

The character portraits look like when playing:

When the portraits are dumped, they each output two grayscale textures:

I've confirmed this problem is specific to this game, as other games will dump colored textures. Is there any way to fix this?
The images didn't attach properly in my earlier post, so here's the ingame screenshot:

Here's the dumped textures (gray):

Textures have various formats (see this image format mario kart page). If the dumped image name ends in a 14, then it is a full color image. However, for other formats, it might dump as a black and white image or possibly something else. This might be because it is truly a black and white image or it is merely a palette where the color is applied in an alternative way. In that case, there's no solution to resolve it at this time.
I've seen other games that do it this way.
The slightly transparent image is the color overlaid with a filter over the other to create a colored image.
However, I cannot tell you exactly how the filter works.
Thanks for the responses.

It's unfortunate that the grayscale coloring can't be fixed at the moment, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future.
the textures are just like that, no idea what you want with the textures?
