Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hello everyone,
I called Nintendo today and asked about the closure of the Wii Shop Channel and all the NUS servers, they said that they discontinued EVERYTHING.

I use Dolphin Emulator to load backups of my games (that i bought legit) and when i was updating it says that the servers are DOWN, i tried with a real Wii, a friend's Wii. I also tried changing DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 but it still gives that error.

That's not entirely accurate. Although the Wii CDN is down, content from it can still be downloaded through the DSi, 3DS and Wii U CDNs (and vice-versa). By updating to Dolphin 5.0-16380 or newer, you should be able to perform online system updates again as we've set a fake NetUpdateSOAP endpoint that replies with URLs from the Wii U CDN...

that version doesn't work for me...
