I saw this video on youtube of someone benchmarking Super Mario Galaxy at 1440p Max settings on their 2070 GPU and Ryzen 3700x CPU. The test ran butter smooth at 60fps 100%.

So I maxed out all my settings and ran Super Mario Galaxy on my 3070 GPU and Ryzen 3800x CPU. The game audio started crackling like crazy and my FPS was fluctuating between 40-50 frames. What's really weird is that my PC is more powerful than the other guy's PC, yet I can barely hit 60 fps on the same settings.

I have tried switching the graphic backends and Vulkan seems to work the best for me, and the audio crackling/frame drops are less noticeable. OpenGL was slightly worse, and DirectX 11/12 ran the absolute worst. I can't really seem to figure out the problem that is bottlenecking my system.

I have attached pictures of my settings to this thread:

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Couple of things to try:
Config > Audio tab > Audio Backend > try using Cubeb
Graphics > General tab > Shader Compilation to Hybrid Ubershaders
Graphics > Enhancements tab > try turning down the Anti-Ailiasing and Anisotropic Filtering
