Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hey guys, I can play my Secret of Monkey Island on the Wii, but it's unplayable on Dolphin. I was hoping to play on my laptop and not drag my Wii out. The dolphin emu works fine on chapter 1 of the wad, but the other wads, the FPS, drops from 40 to 1 or even 0. So to be clear, chapters 2-5 do not play with dolphin, but chapter 1 does work.

I've changed the backend with no difference. The dolphin wiki says there are no issues with Secret of Monkey Island. So I'm wondering if that was broken with an update since the wiki was written for that game.

My specs for the laptop are pretty high, and it's got 16GB and an Nvidia 1050 with Intel I7-7700 @ 2.8ghz

Do you have any advice, or is there an update needed?

Are you playing with your laptop plugged into the charger? Also, do into Nvidia Control Panel and make sure the battery boost setting is turned off?
