My Specs:

GPU: RTX 2080 8gb
CPU: i7-9700k
RAM: 16gb
OS: Windows 10

Im using the latest Dolphin Build.
All Drivers on my PC are up to date.

Issue: a while back i had F-Zero GX running perfect on my pc. it was running on 4K with the settings from the Wiki and ran at 60fps.
now for some reason im having a stuttering issue during the race, but the kicker is that its only during one specific stage which is Casino Palace Split Oval. No other stage causes this issue except this stage.
Basically when im on this stage and i use the Boost the FPS drops to 30 causing a pause effect, before continuing like normal. i tried all the backends, different combination of settings and i cant seem to fix it, however the other stages work perfectly fine.
I just tried to reproduce that. I use 5.0-15936 the most recent dev as of this post. I had place a portable.txt to be a default. My desktop specs in profile is what I use. I did experience some pausing effect if i didn't use ubershader, which hybrid ubershader and compile before start I didn't notice it. So you probably need to enable those settings. For nvidia cards Direct x tend to be better with ubershader from my experience and what I heard around the forums.

Hey there, I'm having the exact problem as you described. Have you found a solution?
I was just coming here to report this issue. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
So, i have the same issue. I'm using Dolphin Standalone on the Series X, everything runs perfect, but Split Oval get some serious lag when i use the boost near the middle of the track.

Anyone got a fix for that?

Did you try the suggestion by TheMaster123?
It's an issue with the texture cache. Try lowering the resolution and it shouldn't happen. I'm pretty sure the slowdown is running out of RAM.

Yup, i did. Still the same, ONLY this track has issues. Everthing else is butter smooth, and i played a lot yesterday. Story mode, other cups, everything runs perfect with zero hiccups, only Split Oval lags. Even on time trial, with zero opponents, lags on the same places.

Maybe is something with the actual build of the Dolphin for Series X. Who knows, maybe it's get fixed on the next update.

I'm playing at 1080p. I'll try at 720p today.
And it was resolution. At 720p, the hiccups were barely noticible, at native resolution, no hiccups at all. Well, the bright side is that you can change resolution on the fly, so just lower the resolution when Split Oval begins.

Oddly enough, I was able to find an older version of dolphin specifically for this game and it doesn't do that stutter anymore
