I've been told that if I plug a cable to the USB-C port of my phone, there will be no latency at all, regardless of what controller I use (could be an Ipega, PS4, Xbox One, something called Gamepad X7, etc.) Is this true?
There is no such thing as "no latency at all" – that would violate the laws of physics. But if you use a cable, the latency should indeed be pretty low. (Assuming the gamepad supports connecting by cable, of course.)
Thanks for both the confirmation and the correction. Will keep this in mind if I ever bring this up again elsewhere. Hopefully I can get the controller sometime this week.
I think I know somebody who has an Xbox 360 controller. Does anyone know if it'll work well if I use an OTG cable, and most importantly, if this doesn't require me to root my phone?
I finally bought a PS4 controller (though I was a bit unwilling to do so). Connection over Bluetooth is horrible, I can't play any Mega Man game like this, even on Easy mode. Tried to use the DS4 wired, but when I connect it to the controller, all it does is charge (or that's what I assume the yellow light to mean).
Any way to make the DS4 work wired?
