Oh, after five minutes? Yeah, that's normal, as it's how it works on a real Wii. Unfortunately netplay doesn't handle Wii Remote disconnections properly, so I guess you just have to make sure to press a button on the emulated Wii Remote every fourth minute or so... Or alternatively, actually use the emulated Wii Remote to play the game.

Yeah. Using the emulated Wii Remote was going to be my fallback if it couldn't be resolved and looks like what I may run with. Thankfully all the controls the game needs are just as doable on the Wii Remote. Next question is with netplay involved, will it be sufficient just to have the host use the emulated Wii Remote and the other players continue with emulated Gamecube controllers? I thought this was noted in the documentation/wiki as being sufficient.
