just wondering if i have missed somthing regarding the compatabillity of this game l8ly.
bearing in mind iam undestanding that things kinda get broke to fix other things in the emu .
at the moment iam using

rev 4741
emu settings:
optimize quants :on
dual core:on
sound on with direct sound and limiter off
panic setting unselected

also tried the latest build 4771 getting the same thing too

tried both opengl and direct x

direct x:
part of the menus run good tend slowdown abit in the menu when you go to select drift type and stage select.
in game fps is gr8 ,but there is a multitude of layerd squares in white across the screen.
copy efb on , both hack and ram
safe tex cache on

opengl:
menus the same as direct x ,but char select a lot of textures missng from chars and on kart select also.
in game realy slow 20fps or less and extremely blurry.

tried nearly all revisions l8ly and still the same prob , the reason being the latest revs are running most of my wii collection gr8 full 50fps and faces on wii avatars too, just this seems to be the only game i have a problem with.

4357 runs game gr8 full fps in menus, battle mode and gp races
but the other games in my collection are not running to good in this rev .

if anyone is having the same prob, i would gr8ly aquire the feedback and just get over my lazyness of opening a differnt executable to run mario kart wii untill its sorted lol.

fyi dolphin team

THANK FOOK for all the hard work n that Big Grin .
Mario Kart Wii works for me alright with the IL exe, just some menu slowdowns. Regular exe is totally screwed up for me.

Windows 7 x64
r4776 x64 dolphinIL.exe

--Idle Skipping
--HLE the IPL

just checked the home page gonna see how 4776 fairs luckly enough , i was reading the posts on the
commit so hopefully this has fixed the prob .

fingers crossed and thanks for the reply !!
should of posted this a while back but here go's

the issue remains the same on the new builds on pc , however is anyone reporting anything differnt .

see above post regarding the issue!
Use the latest Dolphin build!
Start Dolphin and do this:
Right Click "Mario Kart Wii" -> go to "Properties" and check "Optimize Quantizers" It's important to do it this way!
Now start Mario Kart Wii. When you select a Cup save the state! So go to "Emulation" -> Save State -> and save the state on any slot...
Now Mario Kart Wii should run faster Wink
well i will try that for the opengl plugin .

I remember doing that with some of the older revisions to get mk wii to work, i will give it ago when i get home from work but till then is there anybody got any feed back regarding the d3d plugin as of yet ?
btw could so one close this thread now, I have been reading some info on a commit regarding the problem and got all my answers needed regarding this.

thanks for the help anyway!

Thanks for this tip.

I hope there will be sometime a fix for it, that it will be no longer needed to do this way.
btw this is now fixed in rev 4865 Big Grin mkwii is running super now
Yes. I noticed that its no longer needed to save state. Thanks alot.

Another thing that I've mit MKWii:

Nearly evere course runs now at 60FPS (D3D) or just a little bit slower for me. But in some cases, for example right before the start of a course, when it shows me the area, I get some bad hangs (D3D and OGL). One time I ran dolphin in window mode to look something and I saw, that during these "hangs" the CPU usage of both cores dramatically goes down (under 50%). What is it doing in this time?

System:

Athlon64 x2 6000+
Geforce 8600GTS 512 MB DDR3
4 GB RAM DDR2 DualChannel
Win7 x64

I am using an ISO image of MKWii. Don't know if this matters. But Original CDs/DVDs didn't worked well in other emus, so I didn't tried with it.
