Hello,

I'm trying to use a PS4 Controller with Dolphin under Linux (Ubuntu 18).

I configured everything in the controller settings, including the mouse movement input. When I swipe over the touchpad on the ps4 controller, I can see the point moving in the appropriate direction on the dolphin controller config window.
On top of that, I can control my OS cursor with the ps4 touchpad.

But when I start a game like Mario party 8, I can not move the cursor in game. Instead, only my os cursor is moving when I swipe the touchpad, but not the ingame cursor.

The ps4 controller buttons are working ingame.

Dolphin version according to 'dolphin-emu --version': Dolphin 5.0-a6f6211dde-dirty

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
With Windows and the latest dolphin version + Ds4windows, it works.... Seems like the Linux version is broken regarding the pointer input ingame?
The code for the emulated Wii Remote pointer is known to miscompile on GCC 8. Do you know what compiler your version of Dolphin was compiled with?

I just checked, I compiled it with GCC 7.5.0
Oh, huh, so Dolphin still compiles on GCC 7...

I don't know for sure, but it's likely that GCC 7 has the same problem. I would advise trying with a newer version of GCC or with Clang.

Okay thanks, I will try. GCC 9? Do you recommend a specific version?
I'm not sure if the problem is fixed in GCC 9. But it's definitely fixed in GCC 10.2 and newer – that has been tested.

Ok, so I just tested with GCC 11 - Same problem as before unfortunately.
Hm, I guess it's something else then...

Please check that you have not enabled Sideways Wii Remote or Upright Wii Remote.

I checked, both options are not enabled.
