When I have the num-chuk plugged in my wiimote controller looses all connection and to reconnect it I need to take out the batteries. Please help!

Are you emulating a wiimote or using a real wiimote. If your using real wiimote are you using Bluetooth pass-through or windows. Have you try enabling/disabling speaker data.
