?????? when ever i try to plug my graphics card in to the pcix slot the computer wont start but when i take it out it will????????????? any help would be greatly appreciated.
did u plug the monitor into the graphics card?

wow wow wow wow i got the geforce fx 5200 to run new super mario bros wii on a computer with a pentium 4 and 512 mb of ram to run at 27 fps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah that's pretty much what i expected, you might get some bugs too. on the xeon you will get better fps, but still get a bottle neck from your gfx; might even run at full speed, who knows, but you'll have a massive frame skip.
but the xeon wont start up when i put the card in. HELP!!
ONE MORE TIME : are you trying to try to fit a pci express graphic card on a pci port ?
And btw , what kind of xeon do you have there ? Intel make them since Penium 2 450Mhz I think ^^ ? But really the best thing you could do is check your motherboard name , check the fricking(^^)manual of it ,(read it too...) and definitely find a solution .
Whats the wattage on your psu?
it is an old xeon server motherboard i dont have any manual because i lost it and i am trying to put a pci card in pcix slot. (incase you dont know here are the xeon specs):
Intel Xeon dual-core 2.20 ghz (x2)
4Gb ram
Fedora 12
Ubuntu 8.10
and some server xeon mobo.
