well yea i know i wont get best game performance but that is beside the point.
which one will work best with dolphin???????
here are my specs:
Computer 1 (the worst)
Intel Pentium 4 2.1 ghz
windows xp 32bit
1gb ram
Computer 2
Intel Xeon Dual-Core 2.6 Ghz
3gb Ram
Fedora Linux 32bit
i can't say, just try em and see for your self what i mean. i suggest you try in the xeon but in windows lol
the p4 is just to weak.
ok i will try
should i use ogl or dx9 plugin
OpenGL gives you best graphics but is a bit slow, as long as your graphics card has OpenGL 2.1 support. DX9 is faster but with some graphical issues.
So is your choice.
try all kinds of settings. experiment! then report back for future reference for other people.
if you're gonna use linux then ogl of course if windows d3d for speed (u'll need it), but depends what game you're trying to run. search around in the forum for examples.
good luck.
thanks
by any chance do you know if the geforce fx 5200 has ogl 2.1 support, the quadro dosent.
thanks
I'd get a nvidia card for best GL compatibility. I find you have to mix between gl and d3d depending on the game. I have faster results in zeldas with d3d and no hud corruption, whilst mario sunshine only works in GL since the goop is out of control in d3d.
geforce fx 5200?! is mounted in my old pentium II 350mhz computer

is OGL 1.5
If .. but if the game starts without error and the emulator not crashes.. give u 1 or 2 fps.
Even if you have both cards PCI-Express version..no luck.
what about the other card
Both cards are PCI cards (not Pci Express) not even AGP !
This is like going back to the time of the Dinosaurs !
