Hi, i'm writing for a friendly request to the devs.
If you can please inclube back the Xaudio2 plugin, last seen on version 10947 as i'm stuck with this version.
When I play on dolphin , i do it with the Dualshock 4 controller far from pc, and i have my earplugs plugged into the controller.
Cubeb won't render any audio if switch to the controller, (renders fine with windows speakers) and openal is buggy and choppy, Xaudio2 is fine even if it's deprecated, Wasapi won't render either.
I mostly play at night so I can't switch to TV for not disturbing the others in my house, and i'm stuck with that old version that included the xaudio2(last version of dolphin before removal).
So I am asking if you can include it as an additional option
OR is there any way i can transfer the plugin itself from my old version to the newest version of dolphin?
Cubeb streams to other devices just fine here.
Are you changing your default audio device in Windows to your controller?
yes, and windows plays fine in controller, pc games as well , Other emulators as well, it's just dolphin that won't render in cubeb
Tried Cubeb in yuzu, no rendering as well,
so it might be a plugin issue?
I can recreate the issue on my side using my PS4 controller plugged in over USB. I don't know if I have any other Cubeb software (Firefox works fine and uses Cubeb) that I can test with.

The PS4 controller audio shows up in Device Manager as a Headset Earphone, running the default Microsoft audio "driver" v10.0.19041.1.

I have a USB Wireless Stereo Headset that uses the same "driver" but it shows up as a Speaker device and works fine with Cubeb and Dolphin.
Does the device only support mono output (vs stereo) or something maybe?
I was able to reproduce with a xbox one controller. I found if it was a stereo headset the sound work fine, but if I use my headset that was mono it didn't have sound.
Cool. Probably an easy fix. Does dolphin produce any log output when it fails?
Looking under user\log I didn't find one that wasn't blank. I did use 5.0-12904 with a portable.txt to see if it still occurs and to see if I got a log only showing this issue. While it still occur as described, I didn't get any log in that folder either.
Did you enable logging in View->Show Log Config?
