Hah, nothing seems to be easy Smile

I know we have the camera code covered already for 2k11.

I'm trying some experiments with 2k3 as well. Already found many codes for offplay cameras (with that grind method), even find a way how to stop the in-game side camera from moving L/R and PAN instead (aka simplified our broadcast camera in 2k11) but can't find a way how to put it lower Lol

But I don't wanna distract you from this project, that is already pretty close to be really unique hockey simulation.
Alright, so here are the most 3 gameplay and 2 visual most important things that would be great to have in the game and I wasn't successful in doing it alone.

I'll make a separate post with video with each one so you can easily see what I'm talking about or how to repro it.
I will also use the default textures and cameras.

Here is the list:

Gameplay
Stick x Body detection (make it that the stick cant go through the body or any other solid object)
Faceoffs difficulty (they are way too easy in default game)
Slap dump animation (this is one of the few that I still can't control and is unrealistically fast)

Visual
3D Crowd everywhere (if not possible then at least fixing the holes within the higher IR in the 2d crowd)
Forcing Replay during off play (this future is completely missing the in the default game, unfortunately)

Let's start with the stick X body detection
This is definitely the most annoying gameplay flaw that left to fix. As demonstrated in the clip players can put the stick through the other player body. I think the original devs did it to make the game more forgiving for the children/casual crowd, but for a hockey sim it is the major flaw Smile
Player, in this case, should lose control over the puck (puck should be dislodged from the stick)

things I found and might be related:

04F9F240 with the float at 0 and doing the stuff in the vid above the game sometimes freezes
04F9F4BC, 04F9F4DC, 04F9F4FC with the float at 0 there is a force field around the other player, that won't allow me to get near.
04E65288 with higher floats players will deflect from each other when close
Interestingly without the puck, there is a stick X body collision. You can see how the stick jump of the player's legs in this video.
So ya, I think the devs turned that collision OFF when the puck carrier goes for the collisions.

uf, so this might be something Smile

04E65404
So this is the AR that somehow affects the detection (as shown in the vid above), I have looked through all the possible combinations in this 04E65... line, but couldnt find anything that would make the stick v.s. legs collison possible, without the players bumping so far from eaach other.

If you put the float at 0 there is no body vs vody collision at all and players can go through each other.

Any ideas? Smile
