Alienware really is for people who want to brag.
"yeh i just bought a £2500 alienware, its got the new i7 920, and a gtx 260 and 4gb RAM

DD"
"oh wow, iv got 2 gtx 295s, 8gb RAM, an i7 extreme...overclocked...and watercooled...cost about £1200, but yeh...cool case..."
I come back to this?? 'fuck alienware'?? EVEN BETTER!! Well... you mean f*ck Dell... I hate them with a passion!
This thread would be much fun if someone actually owned one.
Oh! and fuck all prefab computers... TAKE THAT!
Change the thread's name to "fuck alienware and all prefab computers and the mother that gave birth to Steve jobs // Penis talk"
I can already hear the sizzle

I only know one person who owns an alienware product, but hes a dick so its ok

Just got the new Alienware Aurora R-3 5 days ago.... I'm typing this during my second reinstall of windows 7 and all the drivers from Dell.... A gift from my father who thought it would take me away from all my windows xp troubles.... nope... it only gave me more.... its the thought that counts tho right?
If only we could punish corporations that make shitty products. "Dell" "Microsoft"
So there you have it, an Alienware owner telling Alienware and its affiliates to FUCK OFF!!!
It's nice having a $1,600 paper weight with lights..... Corporate money hungry BASTARDS!!!
I'd throw it off a cliff if it wasn't so freaking expensive.

in 99% of all cases the user is the problem of windows
the 1% comes if automatic update is activated

This is true.

My first re-install was do to a key-logger trying to hack my system the first 30 min I had it. This is when I figured out Dell sends their systems "non-updated" and susceptible to attacks.
Reinstalled "with anti-virus this time" got a few good days of game play out of it before I found out it was only running at 3.4 of the 3.9 advertised overclock speed. So I enabled the "manufacturers default Over Clock setting" in the BIOS. THE "MANUFACTURERS DEFAULT OC SETTING" crashed windows to where it could not start. I even restored the BIOS back to its non-overclocked setting and still nothing.
System restore didn't work, and of course I hadn't made a system backup on DVD's yet.
This leaves me waiting on my second re-install.
PC's should be ready "out-of-the-box" especially if your paying that much!
If this install doesn't give relief. I'm going with plan C . . .
