I want to thank you guys for all the great work you've put into making Dolphin so great!

Since it's been about 3 and a half years since the release of Stable 5.0,
how soon do you guys feel it is until you are ready to release a Version 6.0?
Any particular features or fixes you guys are looking to include in a new stable version?https://100001.onl/ https://1921681254.mx/ https://happymod.site/

I haven't gone through it but from what I hear, releasing a stable version is a lot of work. I'm sure someone else on the team who has been through it before can mention everything that is involved. Because of that, I don't believe there are any plans to do a new stable any time soon.

The bigger issue is that it stops all new features from being added to the program.

I have a few more freelook features on the way (head tracking, split screen, some I've yet to push up).

There's also dynamic input textures and another feature I'm working on that might see the light of day in the next month or so.

I'd love to see another attempt on fixing the bloom issues that plague many Wii games and VR support would be great.

I'd also love to see a proper mod system. While the Wii is an old relic by now, many of the newer emulators have a mod system. The patch PR would be a good start. Over on gbatemp a user has been introducing a number of game translations lately (1, 2, and 3) and I currently keep both my unmodified rip and the translated copy backed up, it's a waste of space. A mod system would help with that.

At some point, I might take a stab at SPIR-V shader conversion. That would allow for faster shader compilation. But stenzek could probably implement it more quickly (hint!)

Those are the big ones at least, I can't share all my ideas or you all wouldn't be surprised when they release Smile
