Hello all,

Recently I've had the pleasure of being able to use Bluetooth Passthrough to play all my favorites, but I've been running into a bit of trouble with it and was wondering if any of you could help me out.

My problem is this: On launching a game, I am greeted by a black screen. There are no info messages such as custom textures or whatnot, which normally would appear if the game launched normally. From what I understand, this is a common problem with Dolphin not recognizing my Bluetooth adapter, but Dolphin played just fine with my adapter before. This new occurrence started happening after I updated Dolphin and switched my input to Emulated Bluetooth and back to Passthrough. The only way I was able to fix this before was by reinstalling my drivers for the adapter, which I don't want to go through again.

Could anyone help me out with this problem, or provide some kind of insight? It would be much appreciated Smile
Try to unplug and replug the bt adapter. Or disable / enable from devices manager.
Alright. Next time I get this problem I'll try that out. Thanks!
Ok, so I reinstalled the libusbK driver and it worked instantly, but I shut down my computer and turned it back on, and I'm back to the same black screen problem. I tried disabling and enabling the bluetooth module to no effect, with Dolphin open and with Dolphin closed.
IF you do a Restart (not shutdown) do you have the same problem?

I restarted 3 times and the game launched correctly all times. I shut the computer down normally, however, and back to the black screen. Could shutting down be messing with Dolphin or Passthrough in some way?
Sounds like you might be having a problem withe Windows fast startup, where something is getting cached wrong or something. Try updating Windows, your GPU drivers (clean install with freshly downloaded drivers or the DDU tool), your BIOS, any controllers you might have, USB devices, etc.

Also make sure you have the latest dev build of Dolphin.

Also try running a program like CCleaner to clean up your computer.

If you're still having the problem, turn off Windows Fast startup: go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > uncheck/turn off the 'Turn on fast startup' option

OK, I updated Windows, cleaned up my GPU drivers, updated my USB stuff, etc. I was offered a new dev build of Dolphin (5.0-12026) by the updater, but it just crashed and wasn't able to update (error=2). That's a problem for another day, however. I ran CCleaner, and turned off Fast Startup. All of this did nothing, for as soon as I turned off my computer using 'Shut down', my good friend the black screen made a return.

I also experimented a bit more and instead of shutting off my computer, I used Hibernate and Sleep Mode, seeing if there was any difference. Unfortunately, they gave me the same problems. In all 3 cases where I either put my computer into these modes, or simply shut it off, power is cut to all my computer parts (or that's what it looks like). This got me thinking: could removing the power from my BT adapter be causing my problems, and if so, would there be no feasible fix, and would I have to get a confirmed-to-work adapter?

As always, any insight or idea is welcome!
Another thing that I think would be of note is that for every time I test out the libusbK drivers with a new configuration, I uninstall and reinstall the driver using Intel's BT driver utility (BT_21.80.0_64_Win10.exe). After this, I install the libusbK driver again using Zadig. I've done this enough times to the point where I'm a bit worried that the drivers may not be cleaning themselves up each install, and that this may be causing unwanted problems while I try to solve this main one. Is this a possibility, or is this perfectly fine?
Are you using a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 connection on your computer? Have you tried different USB ports?
