I've been doing some testing with Batocera 5.25 and 5.26. 5.0-11632 is bundled with 5.25 and 5.0-11770 is bundled with 5.26.

on 5.26 I get horrendous gamecube performance with an intel i5 4570T with integrated graphics. If I go back to Batocera 5.25 it goes back to silky smooth.

It doesn't appear to be a CPU issue see here

I'm not pointing any fingers. Just wanted to bring it to the dev's attention. It very well maybe something on the Batocera side but something tells me it's GPU related.

I'm also getting horrible Gamecube performance on batocera Linux 5.26 running Dolphin 5.0-11770.
My system is also an Intel I5-4570T in an Lenovo M93p. Performance was excellent before the upgrade from Dolphin 5.0-11632
