Why not to try MSAA instead? It still gives nice quality and is not as intensive as SSAA.

Note that you were trying to emulate an effective 24 IR resolution before lowering the settings (think of AA as the IR multiplier).

Well what I'm saying is that I was playing on much higher settings no problem but now that my settings were fixed and the game isn't mysteriously slowing down emulation speed now I can't even get slightly higher settings than normal. I tested playing Wario World at my preferred settings I was using when I was making my HD texture pack for the game at 6x IR and 4x SSAA and it played totally normal.

SSAA effectively increases your resolution, 2x IR plus 2x SSAA is basically 4k. Turning of dual core tanks performance, switch to MSAA instead. No texture AA but much more friendly

Alrighty, I don't mind it but I just found it weird. Thanks for the help everyone.

You can probably fix your problem at your original save location by deleting the portable.txt and deleting the config folder in your documents/dolphin emulator folder.

That did it! Thank you!

Keep in mind that IR and SSAA are multiplicative, which means that if you set 4x IR and 4x SSAA you are effectively running at 16x IR and at 24x IR if you are running 6x IR with 4x SSAA... Even my RTX2080TI has issues running some games at 24x IR... so.. yeah...
