Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I am having no luck playing wii games on my laptop. I had my setup on my desktop prior to this and it was running without issue (even had the graphics running at 1080p) but since moving over to the laptop wii games are unplayable.

my desktop specs were:
core i5 @3.2GHz 4th gen.
nvidia 1050 ti
16 GB DDR3 RAM

my laptop specs are:
core i7 @ 2.8GHz (but running at 3.4GHz) 7th gen.
nvidia 1050ti
16 GB DDR4 RAM

based on the differences I thought that the laptop would have more flexability running newer games but that doesn't seem to be the case unless I am not doing something correct.

I am running the newest version of Dolphin and all my drivers are up to date.

Laptops can have power saving features enabled, look for power saving options in Nvidia control center.
