it freezes on the title screen
i think that it's because the iso is "false signed" as wiimm puts it. but i don't know why
is there some other thing i need to do for it to run that i missed?
(my dolphin version is the custom project+ netplay version if that's relevant)

We can only help you with official versions of Dolphin, not the fork you are using.

For the reference, Dolphin doesn't require disc images to be signed correctly, so that it is fakesigned is not a problem in itself.
