Hi all,

I am honored to be here.  Your Dolphin Emulator renew my experience with Gamecube / Wii as my Android S10 5G has  AMOLED tech which adds true colors with higher resolution.

My question, is will Dolphin on Android:
  • Improve framerates on the S10 5g CPU and Gpu (From Middleware Dev friends, they claim its possible to eventually run Wii and Gamecube emulated games on Dolphin Android at least full speed at 1080p if Dolphin devs kept working on it.  I have the most powerful Android phone atm (Not sure).
  • Improve compatibility on the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (Now native on Android 10 but there is no in game rumble on controller.  Nor are there any axis sensitivity options.
  • Make Eternal Darkness and SSX Tricky in game playable
I appreciate you all.

Best,
Anthony

You have the most powerful android phone if it was in a freezer.. Thermals on that thing are horrible. Get a device that can actually sustain a CPU load and maybe you’ll see playable one day.
Another reason that most flagship Android devices still don't run Dolphin well is related to the mobile GPU drivers, which still nowadays are very far from optimal. Once they improve the GPU drivers, Dolphin will magically run better...
Interesting. However, I wonder why when the game slows down, letting the menu UI open real quick improves speed a few seconds more before slowing the game down again. One guy complains about CPU (Kind of Incel like) and the other GPU (Which makes more sense).

Too bad I cannot root this smh.
I am running the CPU and GPU and the temps don't even come close to hot (PIP with monitoring software, 35 degrees for both, no clue how to attach screenshots) Maybe isolated to GPU drivers as mentioned earlier

This comes down to your phone's CPU/GPU governor. It's common for Samsung devices to crank up CPU/GPU clocks when you're interacting with menus on-screen, so the OS feels more fluid overall, but once you aren't interacting with them anymore, the governor reduces your CPU/GPU clocks to save power...

It’s not showing the right sensors then, a full load S855 easily takes SoC temps up to qualcomm’s T-stop. Samsung also throttles based on skin temp sensors which lock to 35C (those are likely the sensors being read). Also I don’t see what’s incel like about pointing out that your device does not perform well thermally and reading spec sheets won’t tell you the full story. Try and refrain from inflammatory comments about others.

You can be educative without wise cracking.  I came here to learn sir.  Yes it is Incel to respond that way as no one came in wanting such negative energy as such.  Focus on the initial point of negative energy not the response.
The sad truth of the matter is that the most powerful existing phones aren't powerful enough to run most GameCube/Wii games via Dolphin emulator. The main problem is low CPU speeds, especially when it comes to single core performance, and rather immature GPU drivers.

Regardless of what you think of the two people responding, both of their comments are correct. Both the CPU is too slow to run many games and the GPU drivers being inefficient put more load on the CPU. You need to temper your expectations if you're running Dolphin on Android, and remember that there are games that still don't run well on high-end desktop computers.

Also, no more name-calling. Any negativity you're sensing isn't directed at you, but at the monotony of questions and demands made by Android users in general. This project's forums are full of volunteers lending you their time, please respect that.

So because they are frustrated, I am supposed to sit back and let that transpire?  Trust me when I say volunteer, Internship or full pay know where you are. I will admit you are the most appreciative and well considerate while I try to figure this out.

Volunteer or not please manage your attitude.  Dolphin runs full speed at minimum settings, just not at 720p or higher per my Subject line.
