It seems to happen randomly on 2 or 3 games I have. Today it happened while playing Shadow the Hedgehog. If I use the button that says "Ignore for this session" it might not happen for a long time again. The weirdest thing was when it happened while the game was paused.  Is this serious or should I not be concerned?
it's a known problem with dual core mode. Turn it off if your CPU can handle it, otherwise you just have to deal with the errors unfortunately.
Well, I must say that I will try this without dual core on.

The emulator has done it again twice today with even worse results! Both times it totally locked up and emitted a single (and most annoying) tone! I will post my save file in case somebody can reproduce the problem. It happened in the Cryptic Castle stage halfway through!

Huh
Yeah, I have the same issues! The game crashes at random places, usually at startup or when finishing a level.
Definitely turn off dualcore.
I did turn it off, but it still soft locks.
