Hi, I had almost finished Super mario bros wii when decided to reset my computer due to performance issues. I first saved the ISO image on my external hard drive and then reset the computer. Now I reinstalled Dolphin, started the game but my save had disappeared. Sad

How could I get it back please ?
Do you mean that you just restarted your computer, or something more along the lines of re-installing the operating system? If you've deleted the data on the internal hard drive, then I don't think you're going to have much luck getting your save data back. You could maybe try one of those "file undeleting" programs (assuming you didn't do a full format of the disk).
I saved the ISO image on my external hard drive, then i reset the computer and finally I re-uploaded the ISO on my computer. I still have the save on the external drive.
Ah, so you do have a copy of the save on the external drive? Then it should be possible to put it back. Which format is the save in? If you just can post the filename(s) of the file(s), that will tell us what format it's in.

I still don't fully understand what you mean by "reset the computer", but I guess it doesn't matter since you have a copy of your save file.
Sure, the format is .wbfs and the name is "SMNP01".
That's not the save file, that's the game itself. The save file is stored separately.
Where exactly please ?
Under normal circumstances in your documents folder under Dolphin->Wii
What is the file extension please ?

In the format that it's stored in when not exported, the file name and file name extension depends on the game. For New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the file name is wiimj2d.sav.
