Heya,
so, when I booted a game I hadn't played on Dolphin before it said there was no space for the save file (it's not the game, it also happened with another one). I then went into the Wii System Menu data management and moved some of my save files and WiiWare games over to the SD card. I even deleted one WiiWare game. However, it still says 0 blocks free and the game also still says it cannot save. Also the save data I moved over to the SD card cannot be accessed it seems? When starting the game (which I had just successfully played an hour ago) it also said there was no space for save data (which, I guess, also means it didn't recognize its save data from the SD card?
EDIT: Huh, weird: It seems like other games now also can't find their save data anymore. Some still do, though... what the heck?

Try checking the size of the Wii folder in the Dolphin user folder (using Explorer or some equivalent tool). It has to be less than 512 MiB (excluding the sd.raw file) in order for the emulated console to be happy. You'll need to delete/move even more save files or channels in order to get down to it.

Indeed, games don't read save data from SD cards.
Without the SD card it's 340 MB...
If it was too much, though, why didn't the games have issues before? Like, now that I moved/deleted some stuff, I guess there would be at as much space as some time before when other games were able to save...?
Ah, ok, but what's the SD card for then? Or does it only not work in Dolphin?

On the wii, sd card saves are only a backup. You can move and launch channels to the sd card. The sd card can also be used for things like brawl replays and homebrew.
As for why you are still out of space, I don't know. Double-check you are looking at your current dolphin folder?
Yeah, I'm not sure why it would be out of space in this case...
My Dolphin 'installation' is pretty old. Maybe at some time in Dolphin's development the data management wasn't as accurate and kinda infinite?
So does this mean if you have a lot of games you cannot have saves of all of them at the same time?
Hmm... since there are all those WiiWare games in there also... normally they are installed into the NAND which is the same memory as the save data, right? Is it possible to boot the WiiWare games without installing them (like, could I delete them in there and still play them?) or are they automatically installed when booted?

Yes, it was infinite until a bit after the release of 5.0.

Yes, but you'd need an very large amount of games in order for that to happen.

Yes.

While you technically can't boot a WiiWare game without installing it (in modern versions of Dolphin, that is), if you use the Wii Menu's ability to launch channels from an SD card or you use Dolphin's ability to launch WAD files, the install will be temporary, meaning the install will be deleted as soon as you do a temporary install of any other title.

You still need to have enough free space on your NAND to temporarily hold the WiiWare game from the SD Card you're trying to launch, though. Otherwise you'll just be kicked to the Wii Menu instead...
Ok, then I think my solution will be to delete all WiiWare games in the NAND (except maybe those with DLC; not sure they would work otherwise). Then there should be more than enough space for all save data and the WiiWare games I just boot via wad and if I understood correctly I only need enough space for the wiiware game temporarily, while it's running.

Yes, that should work fine. (You can delete the games that have DLC – just don't delete the actual DLC, which is stored as save data, not as part of the channel.)
