Please update the OP as this information is now outdated with the Dolphin version in the Play Store currently (5.0-13963)

[Core]
EnableCheats = True

Have to put that at the top of the GAME ini (where you are putting the AR codes), not the main Dolphin.ini file. Make sure you include the [Core].

I just did it to flip the left/right camera on the C stick in Twilight Princess, just now as I write this, with the latest Dolphin from the Play Store.

You don't have to touch the main Dolphin.ini file at all, just the game file which you were already editing to add the AR codes

EDIT: as mentioned below it will still work in the Dolphin.ini file, but you have to make sure to add it under the [Core] section and not just anywhere. However I still recommend adding it to the game INIs as well because any time you change your main Dolphin settings it will remove that line from the config. Plus you already have to edit the game INI to add the codes regardless, so why bother with a second file.

You can do it either way. I don't think there have been any changes regarding this for the past few years. The one important change that has happened since the creation of this thread is that Gecko codes properly work now (so don't attempt to enter them as AR codes).

One last thing, make sure you back up any Game INI files you modify with codes, to your Google Drive or somewhere - cause if you ever use Dolphin itself to adjust game settings, it will blank out all your codes.

That's only the case if you're using an old version of Dolphin or if you entered the cheats incorrectly.
