Hello,

The previous week I've made a controller box,
which has a Ultimarc Ultrastik360 and 2 buttons.

So today I thought, why not give it a go with the Android version of Dolphin ?

So I hooked it up with the usb-c OTG adapter to my Samsun Galaxy S10.
So far so good, it seems like it's working in the Android menu's and the button launches a program.

So I was feeling confident.

I've opened Dolphin, went inside the Wii controlls and choose "emulated",
which took me to the screen where I could map the buttons and d-pad.

I only have 2 buttons (for the moment), so I've set them as button A and button B.
Whenever I press the buttons, they get recognized as the Ultimarc360 joystick
and one button is called "Ultimarc360 joystick 188"
and the other button is "Ultimarc360 joystick 189"

The d-pad gets recognized as well, no problems whatsoever.

So you would think that I could play the game, right.

So I fired up a game, but the buttons don't do anything.

I went back and set the 2 buttons as button "1" and "2",
to see if that would change anything, but it didn't.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks in advance.
Which game did you test?

Super Mario Bros. Wii
Hm, okay... Either A/B or 1/2 should work then, depending on whether the extension controller is set to None or Nunchuk. Not sure what's wrong.

it is set to Nunchuk.

Does it have something to with the other buttons not being mapped to anything ?

No, that's not a problem unless you want to press those other buttons.
the buttons and joystick work inside Dolphin, I can launch a game with the buttons and can move the joystick around in the menu to choose things.
Weird that it doesn't work in game then.
I also have a problem with my PS3 controller,
on my Samsung Tab S4, it works when connected to the usb otg adapter with the usb cable.
All buttons are recognized.

On my Samsung Galaxy S10, only the left thumbstick is recognized and the 2 triggers,
as for the buttons, they all read as "Button 0",
while on the Tab S4, every button has a different value, as it should.

Also no idea how to fix that.
I forgot to mention that I've tried the Ultimarc joystick and buttons within the Pizzaboy emulator
and it works perfectly there.

So if it works there, then it's not necessary the joystick's problem,
but maybe something inside Dolphin that breaks it ?
I have tried my new Ipega bluetooth controller and at first it was the same, it didn't work,
but I found a post on reddit through google, which said that you had to long press a game and then map the controls in there,
which I did and it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
