And like I said, I compared them myself. There are many videos from this channel that you can see that as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44hEXJF9i94&t=1000s
The Kirin 980 performs better than the Exynos 9820 in Dolphin, although aparently in Android games in general the Galaxy has the upper hand.
Interesting case, phone with lover cpu speed, lower gpu unit count, higher screen resolution, and is faster in dolphin. Well i would love that if that is reallly true since i use huawei for quite long time. Mali was always hold back by bad drivers, so maybe recent drivers did the Magic?
I know you did the test but more games would had to be tested. Do you have different channel to back up your statement because the guy is "not the best choice".

This guy has several videos with a bunch of different games comparing the Kirin 980 to the Snapdragon 845. If you don't really trust him there are many other videos out there of people running games on the mate 20 or p30 series. I still think it's Huawei's better thermal management that beats the Exynos to the punch. When my phone is cold it runs pretty well but it definitely can't keep a smooth gameplay once it begins to heat up. I'm not sure if that is due to the S10e smaller size or if Samsung screwed most of their customers again, selling Qualcomm only in the US/China for some reason. I'm thinking of switching to the Mi 9 for this reason alone, although I prefer Samsung's software and the Galaxy all around more.
I use a small fan on the rear of the phone it rally helps keeping temp under 38 Celsius.
You can also lower light and resolution to get minimal throttling.
I suggest u to use a pad, sometimes throttling it's linked to the use of analog stick on touch screen.
