Hi, I own a Mac Book Air 2018
(Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB
1.6 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3) (Yes, I'm aware this is not an ideal machine for Dolphin, but bear with me)

I don't expect nor want to play Wii games with it, but I did think it would run Gamecube games just fine. And while some do (Fifa 06, most of the Mario ones, even NFS: Carbon runs pretty good) some are just unplayable (HP and the Chamber of Secrets, FIFA Street, Agent Under Fire), is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to play these games even if I have to downgrade their settings (If so, please tell me how)?

Or is there no hope for me.

Thank you.
It's a common myth that gamecube games are less demanding than Wii games. https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2018/07/21/...-gamecube/

if you want to use Dolphin badly enough, you can dual boot Windows or Linux and have access to faster, more functional graphics drivers that are hamstringing your performance. Beyond that, there is nothing you can do

Thanks for that answer. I guess that I find it weird that Harry Potter is more demanding that Need for Speed, but reading that article it sorta makes sense. At least that means I can run *some* Wii games.
