Hello all you may have seen today that the Raspberry Pi 4 was announced today and early information and reviews are looking incredibly promising from a performance standpoint. The Founder of the Raspberry Pi foundation is claiming 3x the CPU performance over the old Pi3B+ and it can potentially be overclocked to 1.75ghz. Specs are as follows

  • A 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A72 CPU (~3× performance)
  • 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM
  • Full-throughput Gigabit Ethernet
  • Dual-band 802.11ac wireless networking
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • Two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports
  • Dual monitor support, at resolutions up to 4K
  • VideoCore VI graphics, supporting OpenGL ES 3.x
  • 4Kp60 hardware decode of HEVC video
Considering the Shield is able to do Dolphin with a weaker CPU I was curious how feasible dolphin running on this bad boy is? My main concern is the GPU performance as I honestly have no metric for it compared to anything else but it's obviously a major upgrade as the old GPU could only do 1080 60 and this can do dual 4k monitors. Do any developers have any decent educated guesses here?
We already have a thread about this, so let's keep the discussion there: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-do...n-the-pi-4
