Hello all. I'm a bit of an amateur here. Usually I have a friend who helps me out with this, as he's a lot more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to computers and trouble shooting, but he's been pretty busy and hasn't really had the time. So here I am, thinking maybe I can figure it out with the help of you lovely people.

I've got a Galaxy S10+ and an IPEGA Red Knight bluetooth controller. I've been trying to make Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door work on it. I seem to have already had easy success with Windwaker (I didn't play very much at all but was able to run around with no obvious issues). But with TTYD it goes fine through the start screen, the intro exposition, right up to the title screen, then when it tries to transition past the title screen it dies. Dolphin itself seems to be fine, it's not that the app itself is crashing. Just closes down and spits me back out to the game selection screen. As far as I can tell I've perused all of the settings and everything seems to be on the lowest option possible. I'm really at a loss here. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks so much in advance
What is the exact version number of the Dolphin build that you're using?

5.0-10411

Should I edit the original post to have this info?
It's possible the drivers are broken again. Bounding Box was working on GLES for a while...

how do I fix this?

BraveSirRobin

I had this same issue with that version on the play store. Uninstalling that and downloading the most recent dev build from the website fixed it.
Since the crash is happening right after passing through the title screen, I think your ISO might be corrupted. People on Android tends to have issues during the boat flip animation that happens during the game intro (after starting a new save file), that one is related to Bounding Box issues, you aren't even getting to that part so I would check your ISO file first...
So I went ahead and checked, the ISO runs perfectly on my computer, and it's the same file. Now, are the save files between android and PC similar enough that I could just transfer a save over to my phone? I'm perfectly fine with that as a solution. Or even just as a test to see if it functions past the title screen
You could copy Documents\Dolphin Emulator\GC from PC to Internal Storage\dolphin-emu\GC on your phone but how are you planning to load the save file if you can't even get to that screen on your phone?

I think you misunderstood. I get through the start screen, it loads into the game into the intro bit where Mario receives the letter that Luigi reads aloud (past where you would load a save), then it transitions to the boat on open water, saying Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. From there, it fades to white, where it would normally transition to the prologue intro screen (the revolving coin on a stage with stage curtains etc). But instead, it fades to white and then immediately goes back to the main dolphin menu where you select the game you want to play. No error message or nothing. So if this is just an issue with the start of the game but the rest of it is good to go then loading a save that's past that point would be just fine. In my brain noggin, at least.
