hi. I noticed different behavior in recognizing and button layout of my 2 gamepads. Espacially in 1 and 2 player mode.
One of them is xinput and the other dinput. I set them as classic controller. If i manage them to work correctly in one Game (esp. MK) they might work not as before in multi/single player mode or in other MK games. Is there still a bug in controller handling or is the setup of my gamepads incorrect?
Both GPads work in other applications.
greetings cwh
Most Wii games were not designed to work with the "Classic Controller" extension.
Be aware that having both Wii Remotes and GameCube Controllers configured at the same time can make things confusing.
Which game is not working properly?
Show screenshots of your controller configurations.
Thanks for ur answer.
In MK Black i noticed that.
Show a screenshot of the "Controller Settings" dialog. (The window before you configure the emulated wii remote).
What is "MK Black"? The hacked game, "Mario Kart Black"?
And what exactly is not working in the game?
Dont konw wether its hacked or not. I noticed the mentioned behavior esp. with Mario Kart Wii. As i said before the recognition of the gamepads can be different in 1 and 2 player mode and if u start with pad 1 or pad 2. The game itselfe has no issue. I noticed recognition as "classic contr." or as "GC-contr." If that occours, the button layout is also changed.
U meam THAT setting dialog ?

Like I said in my original reply "Be aware that having both Wii Remotes and GameCube Controllers configured at the same time can make things confusing."
I suggest you disable your GameCube controllers if you intend to use wii remotes in Mario kart.
OK. Thanks.
But one thimg...
Does this mean i have to disable the gamecontrollers for the GC to play Wii correctly ??
Or does this mean i have to take care not for using mixed controller config for the Wii ??
Everything is working exactly how it should.
Mario Kart supports BOTH "GameCube Controllers" and "Wii Remotes".
By having BOTH configured you are emulating a "GameCube Controller" and a "Wii Remote" at the same time using the same physical gamepad, which is probably not what you want.
E.g. When you press "Button 2" on your Saitek gamepad the game sees BOTH a "GameCube Controller" pressing "A" and a "Wii Remote" pressing "A" because that is what you told Dolphin to do.
Aah ok. I was thinking all the time that in the dialog (screenshot 3) the settings refere to emulated CG (above) and emulated Wii (below) ....
So its the setting for both. (and u have to change every game??)
Ok... will test it...

The top part is for GameCube controllers and the bottom part is for Wii controllers. But when you emulate a Wii, both the GameCube controllers and the Wii controllers will be connected to the Wii.
