The windows laptop I'm using has 2 infrared 'things' on each side of the built in webcam for face recognition. Is there any way I can use these 'infrared things' (don't know what their called) to control the wiimotes IR like the sensor bar on a traditional wii, and if not, can someone plz implement this feature?
I don't think it's possible to use those.
Seems you're talking about an Intel RealSense webcam (Windows 10 uses it for Windows Hello authentication). That's not possible because the IR Light emitted by them is on a completely different "layout" a Wiimote expects and because you can't enable them without also enabling the depth sensing sensor of the webcam...

If it’s truly imposible, then does anyone know the power requirements for the traditional sensor bar so I can possibly attach a usb end to it making it more portable and less of a hassle to use?

It's probably easier to just buy a wireless sensorbar or one that already has the USB attached to it...
