Hey,

I´m gonna buy a new laptop and want to play Super Mario Galaxy 2, Paper Mario TTYD and Metroid 1 and 2 on it.

The following three are put on the shortlist:

1. Dell Inspiron 15 5570
Intel i7-8550U 4x 1.80 GHz (up to 4.00 GHz)
AMD Radeon 530 GDDR5 4096MB
8GB DDR4 (PC4-19200, 2400MHz)
Win10 Home x64

2. Dell Vostro 15 5568
Intel i7-7500U 2x 2.70GHz (up to 3.50 GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 4096MB
8GB DDR4 (PC4-19200, 2400MHz)
Win10 Pro x64

3. Lenovo Ideapad 330-15ICH 81FK0040GE
Intel i5-8300H 4x 2.30 GHz (up to 4.00 GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2048MB
8GB DDR4 (PC4-19200, 2400MHz)
Win10 Home x64

After reading https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/?nocr=t...ould-i-use I am unsure if option 1 and 2 are good enough because of the U-Series cpu, but on the other hand option 3 has only 2048MB memory on the gpu. Altough the faq states that more than two cores (almost) does not affect the speed, option 2 is inferior to option 1 with 4 cores and TurboBoost to 4.00GHz imo.

Are all three good enough for smoothless emulating these games?

Best regards,
Mokuyobi

If you're playing more than just Dolphin games, that 1050 2GB will be boatloads faster than the other cards with the 4GB and Dolphin really doesn't care about VRAM that much (most I've seen it use is around 1GB without any additional texture packs). otherwise I guess all of them will do with number 2 being the slowest of all the options and number 3 the fastest.
If thats your budget range, get the lenovo.
