Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Well, as you can see, I'm trying to edit the name of the VC Titles in their properties dialogue box.
If you R-click a title in the main Dolphin window and under the Game Config tab, select Editor and in the User Config section, add code for changing the desired title.

Trouble is, I've tried everything I can think of, but I am at a loss as to the correct Syntax used for the [SectionName] and the Instruction=Name.
Can someone please advise how to change the name of games in the title listing please. Or, if it isn't possible yet, please put me out of my misery!

You can't do it in the game INI, and we have no plans to add the ability to do that due to the extra time it would take to scan through game INIs when starting Dolphin.

I did try that originally as all my games are listed in that file. But using the first 4 characters is new to me, so thanks for the tip!
