When I play FFF: CD on SVN R4525, I get full speed, but the cinematics are missing (not really a big deal) and the text boxes and menus don't show up. The menus are actually "there" in that you can navigate them and select stuff, but the graphics don't appear, so the game is unplayable.

Here is a video of the game working as it should on SVN R1431.

I would just download that, but it's such an old build that it's no longer available for download from the main site.

Alternatively, does anyone know any settings I can use and/or a newer SVN that I can use to play this game?

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz
NVidia 8600GT graphics card
2GB RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium
go here for really old builds but im not sure that ones available, maybe you u'll find one of them useful. http://cid-ec92aae47a89073b.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Emulation/Dolphin/Previous?view=details&wa=wsignin1.0&sa=218099

and do you have some projection hack enabled by accident? those will make your menus and other overlays disappear in most games.

Also it looks like the guy is using a PAL version so there you go, NTSC might not work properly yet.

I checked to make sure, and all hacks were disabled in the OpenGL plugin config.

I did find out something interesting, though. In R4657, there's a new software rendering plugin. The cinematics and missing menu elements show up when using that plugin, but framerates are really terrible.

R4657 file menu using OpenGL:

Using software rendering:

Unfortunately in software rendering mode, when the intro movie finishes playing, a curious error appears:

Selecting "yes" just causes the message to repeat, while selecting "no" causes the emulator to crash.
just make a hack

bPhackvalue1 = 1;
fhackvalue1 = 0.99800390051f;

or make Projection 10 to zero

all menu /fmv will show up

R4664M doesn't do anything different when I use either the Chocobo's Dungeon hack or the One Zero hack. Are there any other settings I need to change?

works well with me.
uncheck native and check EFB to GL texture.
And maybe change your resolution and aspect ratio xD

Still nothing. I tried lots of different settings and all the extra hacks and none of them work.

Does it matter if I use Dolphin or DolphinIL?
Does it matter if I use the NTSC or PAL version of the game?

Better yet would be if spellforce would post all his configs.

Any more information on getting this hack working?
What video card do you have? video plugins behave differently from NVIDIA to ATI.
