I initially made this thread, because I had issues with deadzones and the controller sticks acting wonky, but once I reconnected it and carefully reset the analogue to neutral before mapping the other directions it worked flawlessly for me. And yes, the triggers appear to be digital.

Which is quite logical since the Switch doesn't even HAVE analog triggers, so why would they be on it?

- it won't recognise the left analogue stick (other than the button you click in - the L3, if you will). I can set the directions but it doesn't work in game and it also doesn't show i'm pushing a particular direction on the axis in the controller config screen.

- it only recognises up and down on the c-stick (not left or right)

Is there any chance these issues will get fixed?

Hey all, wanted to check in here real quick with my experiences with the Power A GameCube controller on Mac OSX for anyone who might be interested.

I *did* get this controller to work, after a bit of online investigation, which is great because the GC controller has my favorite form factor in a controller ever and this model is the easiest way I've discovered to set it up wirelessly.

I was originally getting the same issue with the analogue sticks as tricksterdoom (C stick only working in the up and down direction, left analogue stick not working at all in game), and I was getting this issue on both the 5.0 release and the latest development build.

But I read that this controller is basically a Switch Pro controller in the GC form factor, so I did some googling about using the Switch Pro controller with Dolphin and came upon this person experiencing the same issue with the analogue sticks: https://www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator/comments/6extaj/dolphin_doesnt_detect_part_of_switch_pro/ . It seems that the 5.0-5376 build solved the problem with the Switch Pro controller for this user, so I downloaded it and yes, success: the 5.0-5376 development version supports the Power A GC controller with both analogue sticks working perfectly.

So apparently Switch Pro controller support was broken in version 5.0, fixed sometime around version 5.0-5376, and then broken again at some point between then and the latest version. Maybe some of the very smart people who work on these iterative development builds would be able to track down the problem and fix this in one of the next builds? This seems to be a commonly available controller so I'm sure others are having the same issue I was. And it seems like I'll probably need to use a more modern build of Dolphin eventually given the Open GL drama on OSX.

Nevertheless, I'm stoked to have the controller working flawlessly now; Melee feels just as great as it used to when I played it years ago. Hope this is helpful to others.

TL;DR version: if you're running Dolphin on Mac OSX and want to get the Power A GameCube controller working correctly, download the 5.0-5376 development version of Dolphin.

I wanted to say that you could use the bisect tool, but you're on OSX.

The source code of the tool is available though, so he could probably compile it (if he knows how to, of course).

I don't think that's going to work on OSes other than Windows without modifications.

Any chance that some of the people who work on the builds might take a look at this? There must be others trying to use their Switch Pro controllers.

Is there a proper channel through which to bring up this issue?

I too would like to know if someone knows how to pair a wireless power a gamecube controller to the dolphin emulator.
Send plugin links to it if you know any pls.
Thank you.
