When I try to change the Gamecube controller in Port 1 from a Wii U Gamecube Adapter to another type of controller, it freezes and won't respond. Please help!
Are you doing it physically or in the settings?

In the settings, when I click "Controllers" on the main menu, and then try to change port 1 to another controller type on the drop-down
What driver are you using for Native Gamecube support? If you're using usbdk, I could totally see something like this happening.

I don't have a Wii U controller adapter, so I'm trying to use another controller- but it won't let me switch it to "standard controller". Sorry about the confusion
