Up until two days ago, Games ran just fine, and then when I tried to run it today, this happens:

My Laptop is not high end at all, but it usually works just fine.

I'm pretty sure this is the minimum settings you can possibly use.

-Direct3D runs fine, but crashes on most loading screens
-when it used to run, it has changed between working when Enable Dual Core is checked and unchecked, but recently only runs when it is unchecked.
I also noticed this strange phenomenon. So far, the only two games it happens on is Kirby RTDL and Smash Bros. Brawl, but the condition is the same: FPS/VPS drops to 2-7 for 30 seconds before dropping to normal.
It looks like it's compiling shaders. Certain intel drivers have issues with our shader cache and I believe we have to recompile all of our shaders. Checkmark "Compile Before Startup" (or whatever it is) below the shader compilation settings. If that fixes it, it's just because you've accrued a lot of shaders and now it's taking a while to compile them.

yeah, that has happened to me, and it used to speed back up eventually, but lately its staying slow.

I tried compiling before startup, and after it loads, I just get a black screen.
That fixes my issue. Thanks!
@thundervolt: What drivers/card are you using that it's recompiling everything every run? If your profile is true, it's the IntelHDs still pulling this...
@foxpblade: Depending on how many shaders you have, this can take quite a while. There should be a progress bar though. If it's still hanging beyond that, try waiting longer just to see.

it did fix now, it took a few tries, thanks!
Not sure what you mean by "drivers/card". Most everything should be in my profile, but if you need anything else, just ask.
But what are the drivers/card you need?

He means the actual GPU (the Intel one in this case?) you´re using and the driver version that you have installed for it.
